Grab Bags: Fruit gummies, wooden mustache men, tool erasers, mustache men bean bags, glasses |
I made the boy ties using the tutorial from Purlbee |
The children chose the mustache they wanted drawn on their face from this chart. I used a black eyeliner to draw on the mustaches. |
Eli wanted me to make "Dump Cake". The name doesn't sound appealing but it's actually very tasty (and simple to make.) 1 can apple pie filling; 2 eggs; 1 1/2 cups sugar; 1/2 cup oil; 1 t. vanilla; 2 c. flour; 2 t. baking soda; 1 t. salt; 1 t. cinnamon. DUMP & STIR. Bake at 325 for 45 min. I usually just serve it warm with ice cream, but I wanted to frost it for his birthday and I found this delicious cinnamon cream cheese frosting. |
I have to give credit to my husband's co-worker Kate for making the mustaches on a stick. Thanks Kate! |
How cute and creative! Wish I had been there!
ReplyDeleteI so love everybody's 'moustache faces'- the faces that people NEED to make when they wear a moustache on a stick ;)
ReplyDeleteThe party favours and decorations are SO AWESOME! :D Some day I might need to hire you as a decorator-in-general! :)
Haha! Yes, for some reason you must make a face when holding those sticks! ...I'd love to be your decorator-in-general!
ReplyDeleteLove it! I'm planning one for May.Where did you get the mustache men and bean bags?
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah. I painted the mustache men myself (bought the pegs from ClicketyClack on Etsy) and I made the bean bags too.
